I'll dominate 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote next month's boxing match.

Ex two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to really want to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As both boxers engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really happening.
